My name is Edgar Vergara, and this hobby found me back in 1994. I was a young kid flipping through the pages of Lowrider Bicycle Magazine, fascinated by the miniature cars in the ads and asking myself one question that would stick with me for decades: "How do they do that?"
That question sent me down a rabbit hole of techniques, tools, and builds — learning from modelers around the world, picking up skills one kit at a time. In December 2020, I turned that lifelong passion into Scale Riders, with a simple mission: give fellow modelers access to the premium tools and kits they need to build something they're truly proud of.
We carry top brands like Tamiya, Aoshima, Hasegawa, Fujimi, Revell, GodHand, Splash Paints, and more — carefully selected because they're what I'd use on my own bench.
Beyond the store, we're building something bigger. Our YouTube channel is dedicated to the educational side of the hobby — breaking down the build process step by step, from unboxing and prep to painting, detailing, and finishing. Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your skills, we want to be the resource we wish we had when we were learning.
